Join Our Team as our Deli Supervisor!
Love a simple, tasty menu that brings smiles to customers? We’re looking for an energetic, organized Deli Supervisor to lead our deli team and ensure our customers enjoy cider-centric, delicious offerings every day.
This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll be guiding the deli team, managing daily operations, prepping food, and keeping our kitchen spotless and our quality standards sky-high. This is also an exciting opportunity to play a central role growing Sea Cider’s deli operations.
What You’ll Do
As Deli Supervisor, you’ll keep the deli running smoothly while inspiring your team to deliver on quality expectations. You’ll:
- Lead and motivate deli staff, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and rotation to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards
- Manage inventory, place orders, and work with suppliers to source top-quality products
- Create appealing displays and seasonal specials to drive sales
- Monitor service speed and quality, assisting during peak times every day
- Train new team members on recipes, procedures, and customer service best practices
- Handle scheduling and performance feedback
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe and inviting workspace
- Lead deli projects – especially over the winter months – to grow the bottom line
- Handle daily deli operations single-handedly at non-peak times
What We Offer
- Competitive Pay: Up to $25, depending on experience and certifications + 4% vacation pay + share of pooled gratuities, for a total target hourly compensation of $33/hour ($64,000 annually)
- Schedule: Full-time, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off
- Vacation: 2 weeks unpaid + option of additional 2 weeks

About You
You’re an experienced food service professional who leads by example. You bring:
- At least 5 years in a deli, kitchen, or food retail environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Serving It Right, Food Safe and First Aid certification – required. Post secondary culinary diploma – preferred
- An enthusiasm for working all deli roles – from customer-facing sales to food prep to washing dishes and deep cleaning
- During the high season, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting. Conversely, during the quiet season – ability to keep team productive and involved in designing new deli offerings
- Project management experience implementing deli improvements and launching new products
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- A customer-first mindset and a genuine love for great food
- Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic inventory software
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 kg routinely each day
