SUMMARY:TD Art Gallery Paint-In 2015
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the TD Art Gallery Paint-In on Saturday\, July 18\, 2015.\nThis annual community event celebrates visual arts within our community representing artists from across Vancouver Island and British Columbia. We are proud to present this event as one of the first of its kind in our region and Canada. It continues to be one of the City of Victoria’s largest outdoor events providing visitors of all ages a unique opportunity to meet with a diverse range of well over 160 artists who demonstrate and discuss their art during the day. The event introduces people to the process of creating art\, not just the final product. Many of the artists invite the public to experience the use of their media and materials i.e. printing press\, clay\, charcoal\, pastels\, paints\, wood and stone. In addition\, the event also features an Open House at Art Gallery of Great Victoria. \nThis year will mark 28 years of community support and arts celebration. To align with the spirit of this event\, the wonderful people at Trapeze have developed a campaign to highlight artists that will be there on the day of. Randomly chosen\, the new campaign and posters give a cross-section of the fascinating people who will make up the Paint-In. \n10AM-6PM Gallery Open House (donations are welcome and appreciated!)\n11AM-4PM Meet the Paint-In (artists and art-making along Moss Street) & CIDER\n11AM-9PM Celebrations in the Gallery lot (there will even be a bouncy castle!) & CIDER\n5PM-9PM Live music with Groove Kitchen & CIDER \nWe will be in the beer garden pouring delicious cider!
